Chapter 4. Figure 4. Results from UCSC in silico PCR tool showing dual priming to a desired and an undesired site. Although these primers may be good by other measures, they are unacceptable for an assay targeting one product. The predicted amplicons from 4A were inputted into BLAT in 4B. BLAT analysis verified that there are only two products with high homology (95.5%). This would potentially confound the interpretation of sequencing or PCR-based genotyping experiments.
