Abstract

Application of molecular approaches to studying the biology of Vibrio cholerae, has led to remarkable progress in our general understanding of the genetics, ecology and epidemiology of the pathogen. The bulk of information generated in different areas of V. cholerae research has been summarized to provide an over all impression of the progress made. Future directions for research into V. cholerae have also been discussed with a view to understanding general themes of enteric bacterial pathogens, that cause waterborne epidemic diseases read more ...
