Abstract
In this chapter, we will introduce the advanced technology for remote sterilization by exposure to nitrogen gas plasma, which is generated by a pulsed power source. Sterilization was best achieved using nitrogen gas plasma at a relative humidity (RH) of 0.5%. Furthermore, sterilization efficiency was directly correlated with the levels of OONO•- (peroxynitrite anion radical). These results suggest that OONO•- is a major factor in the case of remote sterilization by nitrogen gas plasma read more ...
