Current Progress in Advanced Technology of Nitrogen Gas Plasma for Remote Sterilization and Clarification of Sterilization

In this chapter, we will introduce the advanced technology for remote sterilization by exposure to nitrogen gas plasma, which is generated by a pulsed power source. Sterilization was best achieved using nitrogen gas plasma at a relative humidity (RH) of 0.5%. Furthermore, sterilization efficiency was directly correlated with the levels of OONO•- (peroxynitrite anion radical).
